Do You Know How to "Go Green"?

I always thought I knew about saving the planet from global warming, but apparently I still have a lot to learn. In the questionnaire I had 70% since there were some solutions or topics on how to take care of the world that I had never heard. For example, interesting elements for making paper, such as panda, hemp and sheepskin excrement. Also the impact of the use or the replacement of objects such as light bulbs, lamps or heating, which could be a way of enviromental saving and care.

What I knew mostly was about how architecture contaminates the environment. Constructive materials of strong CO2 emission, such as the displacement of buildings and also that different spaces with green areas would provide benefits in the health of people, in the city and in the ecosystem.

I think there should be more of this type of questionnaire. Sometimes we do not inform ourselves and this dynamic system would allow all the people to know small data, which are within our reach to be able to change the world little by little. Inform us would let us know the real damage that is causing global warming, irreparable problems could be present in a few years and we must seek all means to stop the phenomenon.

English Language Challenges

ENGLISH

In my school, English was never an important subject. Teachers always focused on learning language, science, mathematics, which made my English level go down and I could never move forward. I tried to learn on my own, but it always became difficult for me. When I entered the university that changed. They made us realize that English is a language that, if we dominate, could help us a lot for the rest of our lives. In the labor market, when working and having to communicate with other people.

My experience has been positive, all the teachers that I had were experts and have a good will to teach, very necessary for people like me who have a bad foundation. They have taught us key material to be able to talk about topics of our career, they have perfected us in the pronunciation and they have made us exercise in the grammar. One of the ways to exercise are blogs. Material that I found most beneficial for us. Talking about different topics, which are sometimes complex, helped me a lot to improve my grammar and be able to formulate an opinion better.

The aspects that I would improve from my English are, probably, make more dynamic activities. We have done some but perhaps we are lacking time to talk student to student, make games, exhibitations, etc. In the future I plan to do this by taking English courses, using interactive programs and maybe going in Exchange to other countries and lear it more directly.

In my daily life I am practicing English when I watch movies, series and when I listen to music. To learn English it is necessary to reinforce the language every day and I find that listening to it or reading it while doing the things you like most can have a radical and positive effect.

PERSONAL OPINION

What is your opinion about legalizing marijuana and other drugs?

In my opinion we shouldn´t legalize any drugs. According to scientific studies, marijuana its a gateway to stronger drugs. We should not be giving the liberty to destroy the quality of life of the people. People would in some way test drugs for the naturalness that would be given to them, and we would risk directly affecting the lives of individuals and families.

What is your opinion about the legalization of abortion in the 3 cases?

In my opinion the cases should be more radical. We women have the right to choose for ourselves with our body and 

with our life. The reasons to abort are many and they don´t consider 

that they´re beyond our control. We completely lack the freedom to choose.

What is your opinion about Immigration?

We all have the right to choose where we want to develop our life. And countries should give free access to people who want to live in Chile. Except that they have criminal history and only come to keep commiting crimes. If not, the diversity of culture, language, would be enriching for all.

What is your opinion about recycling?

The world is going through many phenomena that could be very dangerous for people, such as global warming, the greenhouse effect, etc. And I find the strategy that people are beginning to be aware of recycling very good. It could be a great help to avoid these possible changes, protect our environment and change our culture.

2018 Have you so far had a good year?

"2018"

Taking out accounts, this year has been so much better than the previous one. I´ve been studying architecture for a year already and I was able to gain enough pyschological experience to make everything much easier. I´m more relaxed and happy doing what I like and that its extremely important for me. So let me tell you, architecture is a career that takes away all the free time and where you leave behind many things such as friendship and hobbies, and as much academic load as you can bear.

On the other hand, my family is the most important thing for me and I have a very good relationshop with everyone, I can communicate enough with each one of them, understand their feelings, and viceversa, they understand me and help me too.

As always, there have been bad things. I broke up with my boyfrind of one year with what I have lived during my daily life, I´ve had also a series of discussions with classmates doing work for the career. I´m intolerant of people who don´t work or take advantage on others, but this year I´ve controlled it better. Even so, I love my career so much that I will give that and more to continue focusing as much as possible.

My achievements this year have been absolutely psychological, for example, I´m proud because the past year, 2017, I was a much obsessive and immature person. The university and the different kinds of people made me grow as a person and prepare myself better so that when it happens in the future I will be ready.

I need to do many things right now, first, finishing this academic year, which ends in January. Enroll into a dance academy because I need to do extra activities and lastly, keep sharing with the people I love the most.

Postgraduate Studies

CINEMA AND ARCHITECTURE

A postgraduate course that I would like to do when finishing the degree would be related to the cinema. I find the magic of filmmaking very interesting, and how a screen is capable of doing everything. More than to dedicate myself to it in the future, I would like to have it as a hobby and complement it with architecture.

The subjects that I would like to study is the history of cinematography. Meet filmmakers who have been ahead of their time and films that have changed the whole paradigm of the seventh art.

I also would like to know about movies, series that are based on architecture and urbanism. Knowing how the spaces and the context in the cinema, are fundamental and witness how they are applied in a certain way so that they are so perfect in some scenes.

I would like to go to study to Europe. They are known by having a more realistic cinema, which is usually considered boring, but Europeans make it (and any theme) into a true work of art that makes good use of its cities and beautiful landscapes. The United States would also be an option, they lead the film industry and it would be nice to know what the movement is like in this art.
